With over 23, 000 attendees and 1,280 exhibitors, this years Windpower 2009 in Chicago was the best and biggest yet, according to both the official organizers, AWEA and bolt tensioning specialist Tentec, who was exhibiting alongside its exclusive distributor in the US, Wind Turbine Tools Inc. (WTT).
Although we exhibited at Windpower last year to launch our new Aero range of bolt-tensioning equipment for wind turbines, this was the first time we were exhibiting alongside WTT. says Roy Sheldon, Sales manager for Wind Turbine Technology at Tentec. We were delighted with both the number and quality of enquiries and we even had orders placed right there and then. As well as being a professional and well-known company within the industry, one of the main advantages of working with WTT is that now companies can deal with one supplier for all their torque and tensioning tool requirements. Many large contractors were interested in the complete package we had to offer.
Tentecs Aero range of bolt tensioning equipment for wind turbines was introduced in 2008 and two new products were launched at this years show to complete the range and ensure that wind turbine installation and maintenance engineers have a complete range of equipment available to handle all bolting applications on any make of wind turbine.
