Sydney, September 26 December 2009 Samsung Australia has unveiled the ST1000, the worlds first camera that combines Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Geo-tagging capabilities. The multi-wireless mix of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA lets you instantly update everyone in your social media network. Furthermore, with the help of built-in GPS technology, you will know exactly where you stand.
Using the Wi-Fi connection, you can email photos directly from your camera to popular social networking sites, including Facebook and YouTube. You can also transfer your favourite images to Bluetooth-enabled devices wirelessly and seamlessly, whether that be from your camera to your computer, or to your best friends phone. Using Bluetooth 2.0, your images will be automatically resized to best fit the resolution of the host screen it will be displayed on hows that for convenience?
The built-in geo-tagging capability allows you to keep track of where you have travelled so that you never forget where that fantastic photo was shot. The ST1000 will pinpoint your location, displaying the city, state, and country on the cameras LCD screen. This also makes for a handy reference when it comes to reviewing and managing your images.
The ST1000 leads the way in digital imaging innovation, said Sagar Dave, Digital AV Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics Australia. Never before has a manufacturer provided such a range of technologies in a single compact digital camera. The ST1000 is GPS enabled with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA all included - this new powerhouse point-and-shoot camera from Samsung raises the bar and sets a new standard.
Being DLNA compatible, the ST1000 makes it easy for you to upload or share images from your camera to other DLNA compliant devices, such as televisions and personal computers. With the combination of DLNA and Wi-Fi connectivity, you can send and share pictures almost as quickly as you take them.
With the ST1000s built-in Acceleration Sensor, your gestures work as your commands. The user-friendly Samsung Smart Gesture feature lets you manage camera functions, rotate or delete photos, and create special slide shows with a simple tap, tilt, or hand gesture. Quickly scroll through your photos by slightly tilting the device in either direction; delete photos easily from your library by marking an X on the screen using your finger, or simply draw a circle to rotate an image.
If you prefer still shots to movies but want to leave your options open (and leave your camcorder at home) the ST1000 is the ideal choice. Alongside superior photos, the ST1000 records impressive 720p HD video at 30 frames per second in H.264 format, giving twice as much recording capacity as an MPEG4, and four times more than an MJPEG, the format typically used in other digital cameras - all in the palm of your hand.
The 3.5-inch wide touch screen LCD offers super sharp image quality thanks to almost four times more pixels than traditional cameras. Unlike other digital cameras, the LCD touch-screen uses Samsungs unique haptic technology, providing you with a slight vibration and audible beep whenever you select an option to offer a more responsive and interactive experience.
The feature-packed ST100 is available now for RRP $549.
