Johnson creates a murder mystery that grips the reader from the first page and contains all the classic attributes for a best seller.
Fiends Gold is a mystery story that uncovers the mystery of the gold as well as the truth about Edgar Reyners murder and the subsequent ones that take place whilst they are stranded on Saucers Island. William Reyner the protagonist of this novel is down on his luck until he gets the news of his Uncles death and the ensuing inheritance, after which his life will never be the same.
The book is generally fast paced which adds to the suspense of what is happening in the novel and heightens the sense of anxiety and suspense that the characters are meant to be feeling. The story itself is easily to follow, although it can be slightly predictable at times.
Fiends Gold is set to be one within a series and if this is the high standard to go by then they are set to set the literary world alight. These are not the only books that Johnson has written and going buy the reviews that they have been given Johnson has a real skill for crafting novels.
This is a must read book for any fan of Murder Mysteries, a real page turner of a book. You will regret not picking this book up and discovering the truth.
