WCW, Inc., a local specialty mattress manufacturer participated in the 18th Annual St. Patricks Day Parade in Hoosick Falls, NY on Saturday Match 14 with a float entitled the Princess and the Pea.
About 10 employees designed and built the float based on the fairy tale featuring a stack of mattresses topped by a young white gowned princess and a toddler dressed as a little green pea. A total of 20 employees rode on and marched with the float wearing white shirts covered in green airbrushed shamrocks.
In addition to the float, the employees sold tickets to a raffle for a Natural Form Mattress which is the companys signature product. A check for $520.00 was sent to the Karen McGovern Fund which is a non-for-profit charity that helps those with cancer cover supplemental expenses.
