SPEAKERS FOR THIS EVENT:

  • Matt Deane, Director of Homeland Security Standards, American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

Enhancing Your BCM Program By Supporting the Emerging Industry Standards with Dedicated Software Tools

Business continuity standards such as NFPA1600 have been an effective tool to complement existing organizational resilience programs. Emerging globally-relevant standards such as BS 25999 and ISO 22399 also are valuable to organizations with international operations and outreach and co-exist with the new national consideration of Title IX of Public Law 110-53. Updates will be provided on key business continuity standards initiatives, both national and internationally, as well as how recent legislation and a proposed accreditation / certification program can impact the work of business continuity professionals. The emergency preparedness and business continuity standards environment is constantly evolving, therefore links will be provided for in-depth information and how to engage in key standards initiatives.

Dedicated tools exist to support standards-based BCM programs and enable self-certification and compliance. We will discuss these facilities and show how Shadow-Planner has been able to reduce compliance costs and enhance corporate resilience.
