X2-10GB-SR-MT GHX: Features and Specifications
The 10GBASE-SR Module supports a link length of 26m on standard FDDI grade MMF. Using 2000 MHz*km MMF (OM3), up to 300m link lengths are possible. 10GBASE X2-10GB-SR transceiver modules plug into the front panel of the supervisor engine or route switch processor provide the uplink ports for the router. The 10-Gigabit Ethernet X2-10GB-SR transceiver module is a hot-swappable I/O device that plugs into 10-Gigabit Ethernet ports. The 10GBASE X2-10GB-SR transceiver connects the electrical circuitry of the system with the optical or copper network. This 10 Gigabit Ethernet advantage reduces cabling complexity in data centers and more efficiently uses existing fiber cabling in campus environments.
