Workwise Corporate Training Solutions was established 1983, and specialises in improving individual and team productivity. With their motto of Workwise Changes Behaviour! the company takes pride in developing and enhancing the effectiveness of professionals at all organizational levels, through training courses and skills development.
Workwise is committed to the development of consistent and mutually beneficial partnerships with clients and learners by delivering effective service that is timeous, above standard and budget-conscious. In 2004, Workwise received Institutional Accreditation by Services SETA, and in 2005 met the requirements set by the international Investors in People standard in 2005.
Workwise is an empowered company that has embarked on a Broad-Based Black Empowerment strategy initiative in line with the BBBEE Act, with a current Level 4 BEE rating. The CEO of Workwise, Mel Stamelman, has the responsibility of implementing this strategy, in accordance with the guidelines set by consultants and accredited verification agencies.
In 1989, Markinor was commissioned to conduct research into current corporate training and development trends in South Africa. Based on the results of this research, world-class training was introduced into the South African market. Since 1990, when Workwise acquired the sole Southern African distribution rights to McGraw-Hill training via Vital Learning Corporation USA, the company has focused on providing in-company, corporate training solutions.
In 1994, the acquisition of exclusive rights to the SMART Performance Management and Development System also allowed for the assessment of both training and performance through the measurement of training Return on Investment (ROI).
With the know- how to provide quality training services, Workwise then made a decision in 2000 to refocus its strategy, and in 2001 commissioned independent researchers to benchmark current training and development trends. Several changes were then implemented to correspond to changing expectations in the marketplace. Workwise also responded to changes in Skills Development legislation by initiating an effective management system and assessment process.
In 2007, Workwise underwent further changes, and conducted an extensive re-branding exercise. Skill programs were redesigned to take into consideration further changes in the local organizational market. Therefore, with a history of continuous research and keeping ab****t of developments and trends in the organizational marketplace, Workwise continues to provide services that are current, relevant and beneficial to both clients and learners.
