Euless, Texas August 22, 2008 -- GetLegal announced yesterday that Deborah Monroe has joined the company as President. "Debbie is a seasoned professional and brings great vision to GetLegal," said Akhil Saklani, GetLegal's Chief Operating Officer.

Chief Executive Officer Philip Galyen added, "She is a serious business builder with 10 years of extensive experience in the legal information services industry."

At her prior post as President and CEO of FindLaw, a leading provider of client development solutions for law firms and other legal professionals, Monroe led the growth of the company's products, services, and revenues to 100 million dollars with nearly 500 employees.

Ms. Monroe was appointed head of Findlaw after the Thomson Corporation acquired the business in 2001. Prior to that, she served as vice president and general manager of Thomson West's Southern Market Center and as vice president of the Small/Medium Law Firm Segment within Strategic Marketing.

Prior to joining Thomson, Ms. Monroe was vice president at Landmark Communications Inc., a privately held media company. At Landmark Communications, she managed the strategic acquisition of publishing, recruitment, marketing and reference services businesses, building an impressive portfolio of successful, business-to-business dot-com companies.

Ms. Monroe holds a doctorate from West Virginia University. She received both her master's and bachelor's degrees from North Carolina State University.
