OXFORD, England 12th October 2009 - Chit Chat, the Facebook Chat Instant Messenger (IM) is now available in 7 languages. The free Facebook Messenger download had up until now only been available in English. Instant messenger download, Chit Chat for Facebook, and its website ChitChat.Org.Uk has now been translated into French, German, Spanish, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.
Offer, partner of ChitChat.Org.UK said; Existing Chit Chat for Facebook users wrote to us and asked for our Facebook Instant Messenger to be translated into their native language. It made sense to us to translate ChitChat.Org.Uk and our Facebook Messenger, Chit Chat.
This language update is part of a program to increase the accessibility of Chit Chat to users whom do not speak English. Existing users will need to re-download Chit Chat in order to enjoy the Facebook Instant Messenger in their native language.
Facebook Messenger, Chit Chat for Facebook launched in late August 2009. The English only version of the instant messenger was downloaded more than 30,000 times by Facebook Chat users in its debut month.
Whats more pleasing is that we are retaining users after they have downloaded our Facebook Instant Messenger. Users are supplementing their Facebook experience with Chit Chat for when they find it more convenient to use a traditional desktop instant messenger to chat with their Facebook friends.
Using their Facebook login details, users login to Facebook Chat from their desktop with the instant messenger Chit Chat for Facebook. The ability to communicate with many Facebook friends without a web-browser in a tabbed instant message window whilst being alerted upon receiving a new message is just some of the benefits Chit Chat for Facebook provides.
There is no need to create a new contacts list when using Chit Chat, as you will be using your existing Facebook friend list.
