In 1971, Fred began his formal training at the Seth Thomas factory repair center Dallas, Texas. He became a craftsman for the company that began in 1817. Fred also worked as an associate of Ray Weil, considered one of the foremost clock and watch repairman in the world. Weil began his association with Nieman Marcus in the 1970s. As Michigans own grandfather clock repairman, Fred continues his passion today at the level of a craftsman, especially with antique, grandfather clocks.
