1st Haitian Open to be held in Miami Beach Miami, Florida August 19, 2009The Nation?s Premiere Ethnic Golf Club (MyNPGC) has made a major venue change for the first annual Haitian Open golf tournament. The Haitian Open tournament and the Haitian Flavor Gala will be held on December 27-29, 2009 in Miami Beach, Florida. The tournament will be held at the Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach. Because of the change of venue, the accommodations will be announced in the coming weeks. This event will be the premiere Open tournament for golfers. This exciting event will consist of a charity fundraising which will benefit the MyUSBGA Scholarship Fund and Haiti?s Emperor Children Healthcare Fund. After receiving email responses from William Bill Evans, General Manager of Petionville Club, we decided to change the venue from Haiti to Miami Beach, Florida. Our desires are to take the Haitian Open to Haiti and we will do that in the coming years. For a 9-hole golf course, the prices, Mr. Evans, quoted for were astronomical and completely unreasonable so I made a command decision to have the Open in Miami Beach. We consider ourselves Friends of Haiti? and we are dedicated in our pursuit of providing a positive image to the world about Haiti, states S.E. Day, President & CEO of MyNPGC. The Nation?s Premiere Ethnic Golf Club is an international member-focused, chapter based professional association, created out of a desire to equalize the game of golf by increasing exposure and accessibility of golf for ethnic golfers, worldwide. Members can play at over 2000 courses in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, and a number of countries abroad while enjoying significant savings at golf courses, resorts, driving ranges, lessons, stay-and-play and vacation packages, as well as, car rentals, dining, and shopping. Members of the association also become a part of the MyUSBGA Fraternal Society where $10 of their membership fee is donated to the Scholarship Foundation to support budding golfers in their pursuit of higher learning. Membership is $99.00. Individuals can become members by visiting www.mynpgc.com.
