Montchanin, DE June 26, 2008 -- Impact Systems Inc., (www.impactinfosys.com), a leading provider of enterprise content management (ECM) software tools, deployments and content migrations, today announced their team of migration specialists has completed their first successful migrations to the EMC Documentum 6 (D6) platform.

In May, Impact Systems completed content migrations to Documentum 6 for a global chemical manufacturing company and a multinational biotechnology company. In both cases, the companies were using Documentum version 5.2.5, and wanted to take advantage of the latest Documentum features and out-of-the-box configurations available with D6 as they looked to uphold their respective industry compliance best practices and make simultaneous hardware, database and overall content management enhancements across their enterprise.

The companies engaged Impact Systems in recognition of Impact's enterprise content management expertise, proven capabilities executing complex migration projects, and extensive experience in regulated industries.

In both cases, Impact Systems utilized a repeatable migration process and A-C-E™ Implementation Methodology. Additionally, Impact Systems' proprietary software tools - Q-Config™ and Q-Transfer™ - were used for one of the projects to expedite the migration of content, metadata and application configurations. Migration activities were executed in a well-documented, repeatable, validated process to meet the companies' regulatory requirements for system validation.

"The Impact Systems team worked side-by-side with the INEOS Phenol team throughout the entire migration process, resulting in a successful project. Impact Systems' repeatable process and methodology absolutely streamlined the project, gave us great confidence that the project would have a seamless outcome, and helped us complete the project in significantly less time," said Bill James, Senior Developer and Database Administrator of INEOS Phenol.

More and more, organizations are faced with the need to migrate and manage large amounts of data across the enterprise, and are seeking consulting expertise to help them fully understand their migration challenges, desired outcomes, and how to best accomplish a successful content migration. Whether organizations are seeking migration from previous Documentum versions, or are interested in migrating their content from another platform, Impact Systems is fully equipped to lead customers from the due diligence and analysis process through to a quality controlled implementation of EMC Documentum 6 and the soon-to-be-released Documentum 6.5.
