Deptford, NJ -- (December 10, 2009) – International Rollforms, Inc., a family-owned, manufacturing operation specializing in custom roll forming production, recently announced the installation of a solar energy system at its 65,000 square foot Deptford, New Jersey manufacturing plant. This move to clean manufacturing is part of their effort on increasing efficiency in their business processes while committing to creating a greener environment.

International Rollforms’ new solar energy system, covering 45,000 square feet of its plant, is one of the largest solar panels installed in South Jersey, significantly supporting the trend in that area on the sustainability of local businesses. The solar array was installed by Mercury Solar Systems, one of the leading solar integrators on the East Coast.

This installation is a 383 kilowatt (kW) rooftop solar energy system consisting of 1256 SunPower 305 panels designed to provide high efficiency and performance. The system utilizes two SatCon inverters and is expected to provide 438 MW hours per year. International Rollforms leveraged stimulus money to create a competitive advantage for the Company while supporting the new green economy.

James Vosbikian of International Rollforms said, “Having been a family-run business serving customers for over 40 years, we have continually strived to build long-term relationships in the industry. Given the continued demand for our specialized roll form products, we realized that in order to meet this level of demand, we needed to increase efficiencies at our New Jersey manufacturing plant. We strongly believe that the move to solar energy and the size of the system we have installed ensures that we will be serving customers for another 40 years.”

Jared Haines, President of Mercury Solar Systems commented, “We were pleased to have the opportunity to work with Vosbikian family and their team on this significant installation and support the initiatives of International Rollforms as well as other companies in the Southern New Jersey region towards environmental awareness. We are certain that from a return-on-investment perspective, more businesses in New Jersey and in other states will be encouraged to move towards solar energy.”
