CampingSurvival.com, launched in 2002 by JHL Supply, has earned a reputation as one of the leading online authorities on camping and survival gear, and has had consistent and rapid growth ever since. The growth was fueled by an increasing awareness of disaster preparedness due to the ever-present threat of terrorism, as well as a number of high profile natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina.
