Technology PR:

A customer required a CCTV system that would integrate seamlessly into a control and data acquisition system for a large test facility. To provide the required functionality, performance and scalability, KineticaRT selected AXIS video over IP servers and a Moxa Technologies serial device server. The system also includes a number of PCs, data acquisition modules, PLCs and audio over IP intercom and public address system all communicating via Ethernet.
The required functionality included:
Display of live video from selected cameras on multiple PC workstations.
Recording of live video on demand and triggered by events.
Replay of recorded video.
Streaming of live video to remote locations via the web.
The following modules were used:
Forward Vision MIC tough PTZ and Chameleon static ball CCTV cameras
AXIS Video over IP servers
Moxa Technologies NPort serial device server for PTZ camera control
KineticaRT has developed interface software for its Rapid Application Development Tool KineticaRT Studio .NET to interface to the IP video and the PTZ cameras and allow customers to configure their required functionality.
