Holywood came to call for the staff at Kwik Fit Insurance (KFI) this week as the intermediary hosted their own Oscars ceremony complete with rewards for customers.
The red carpet day proved such a success that KFI enjoyed its fourth biggest sales day since it began trading in 1995 with a total of 1276 new business motor policies sold.
The 950 staff working at the companys Uddingston call centre in Scotland dressed up as characters from their favourite films to celebrate the 81st Academy Awards.
Little did customers realise their calls were being answered by the likes of Johnny Depp, Audrey Hepburn and even the cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Team leader Chris Stewart, aka Willy Wonka for the day, said: Its great fun for us and its a great day for our customers. If only they could see us when they call up!
Oscars Day was the companys first promotional day of 2009 where customers were offered one off discounts on comprehensive motor insurance policies.
Brendan Devine, managing director of Kwik Fit Insurance, said: Our 1 day promotions offer exceptional deals for our customers, as well as keeping our staff motivated and happy. We wanted to show our customers that we are working hard to get the best possible deals in this challenging market.
