Clinicians can now access two new fields of information within Lexi-Comp's core database, Lexi-Drugs®. The Allergy Considerations field provides unique insight on topics such as the range of reactions associated with a drug class, cross sensitivity, timing of onset, plus patient assessment and management considerations. This data assists the practitioner in addressing allergy-related issues which are often difficult to interpret in clinical practice. Also available in Lexi-Drugs, the new Pregnancy & Lactation, In-Depth field contains content on drug use in pregnancy and breast-feeding. Medication-related information in this resource includes pregnancy issues related to the infant/fetus and mother, data from human and animal studies, and detailed information on how much drug enters breast milk and subsequently reaches the infant.

In addition to these new fields of information, the user interface of the I.V. Compatibility module has been improved. In response to client feedback, the King® Guide to Parenteral Admixtures®, Lexi-Comp's partner in I.V. compatibility content, has enhanced this application. Users can now enter up to 10 medications at once and the resulting analysis displays compatibility/stability data for drug pairs where such data exists. The I.V. Compatibility module provides information on over 460 fully-referenced parenteral drug products and is updated quarterly.
