Art is a growing revolution in India, but it no longer is confined to the art galleries. With the Indian Art Industry, including the auction houses and registered art galleries, is valued at approximately Rs. 500 crore, of which Miniature Paintings constitute about 5% of this value.
So far they have been relegated to international audiences and art aficionados, but now thanks to the effort of patrons like Mr. Dinesh Poddar, (MD, Ma Passion), this art form is now making hitting the mainstream media through larger canvasses and novel interpretations.
