Technology PR:

Ottawa, Canada August 26, 2008 -- Kinaxis™ Inc., provider of the on-demand RapidResponse service that empowers multi-enterprise manufacturers with the integrated demand-supply planning, monitoring, and collaborative response capabilities required in today's complex and dynamic world, today announced that Microelectronics Technology Inc. (MTI), a provider of leading edge wireless technologies for the telecommunication and satellite communication industry, has completed its initial deployment of the Kinaxis RapidResponse solution at the company's two manufacturing facilities in Hsinchu, Taiwan and Wuxi, China.

Partnering with Taiwan-based Genesis Technology, Inc., a highly regarded Systems Integrator (SI) and IT solutions provider, Kinaxis offered MTI a single integrated tool for planning, monitoring and responding to unexpected changes in supply and demand. Of particular priority for MTI is to leverage the multi-site visibility and collaborative analysis capabilities enabled through RapidResponse, to dynamically balance demand and supply to meet on-time delivery targets, while reducing inventory levels. RapidResponse has helped shorten response times and reduced inventory risk despite a high frequency of order changes.

"Our RapidResponse deployment has been a great success and has provided quick value to our organization," stated Allen Yen, CEO and president of Microelectronics Technology Inc. "Speed and flexibility are two key success factors that keep MTI well positioned in the field. RapidResponse has strengthened that stance, empowering our planners and front-line responders to handle unpredictable changes with swiftness, confidence and accountability."

With RapidResponse, users throughout the organization are able to access accurate and detailed supply chain information in an easy-to-use spreadsheet interface that is embedded with powerful MRP analytics and automatically populated with live data feeds from MTI's QAD MFG Pro ERP system. Supply chain participants across sites and functional groups can model ERP data to instantly simulate, share and score "what-if" scenarios in response to changing supply and demand conditions. Important to the RapidResponse value proposition, the solution automates and standardizes processes, while still enabling unique corporate knowledge and human judgment to be incorporated into decision making. With direct access to comprehensive information and deep analytical capabilities, cumbersome and error-prone manual processes have been reduced.

"At Genesis, we qualify partner products according to their simplicity, value and agility -- all of which the Kinaxis RapidResponse solution possesses," Albert Huang, general manager at Genesis Technology Inc. "We see Kinaxis RapidResponse as a differentiated solution to traditional demand management and supply chain planning tools that meets the unique needs of MTI as it drives its competitive edge within the complex and dynamic wireless communication industry."

Through first-rate deployment and training services, RapidResponse was fully implemented and offering tangible value to a broad user-base within three and half months.

"This implementation is a clear demonstration of the success of our solution as well as our partnership with Genesis," says Shuji Sueshige, president, Asia Pacific operations, Kinaxis. "We are delighted to have delivered upon our promise of a quick deployment with immediate and meaningful benefits to MTI."
