New multichannel high definition DVR
Multichannel HD Network DVR with synchronized NTP (Network Time Protocol), GPS frame Time-Stamp. Scales to 1000 HD cameras, 1Petabyte (1,000 TB)
Nashua, NH. Cepoint Networks, LLC today released the companys rugged upscale, enterprise Multi-channel/HD Network DVR system with integrated synchronized precision NTP (Network Time Protocol) , IRIG-B or GPS frame time stamp.
The Network DVR systems comes in rugged 19 rack mount formats and can expand to 1000 channels when configured as DVR workstations or scale to tens of thousands of channels when configured as Network k Surveillance servers . Storage capacity is scalable to 1 Peta byte (1,000TB) with unlimited client access.
NTP (Network Time Protocol) is a network time clock protocol that helps synchronize network video server clocks due to timing latency from different servers or client stations dispersed over geographical locations or various campus spread. While timing synchronization could be implemented in software, there is usually inaccuracies in NTP software implementations due to system processes and timing latency under system heavy load. To solve the problem Cepoints DVR systems are incorporated with hardware Atomic clock that is stable under various system performance, CPU load, processes and heat or temperature condition.
The importance of precision timing for frame time stamp accuracy comes into play in a high sensitive security or surveillance applications and analysis where even 1 or 2 second error in video frame time stamp can make a difference in analytical and decision making such as in time sensitive or real-time military surveillance and operations.
Cepoints NDVR and Studio9000DVR series; come with simultaneous multichannel video capture and recording of very high speed and high definition (HDTV) video or image sources, with optional input capture and recording of RGB, (H&V sync or Sync-on-Green), Radar screen, DVI or VGA sources, X-ray and medical equipment images. The Studio9000DVR-IRIG cousin also comes embedded with IRIG-B (Inter-range Instrument time code) or GPS time code generator and receiver for precision IRIG-A/B or GPS frame time-stamp and referencing.
The industrial grade Network DVR unit which is designed for high speed imaging and video recording for scientific analysis can capture and record simultaneous multiple IP camera video streams
Since the unit was designed with mobility and laboratory environment in mind, an optional 28V DC powered version is also available in addition to the standard 110-240V AC powered unit.
Cepoints other video systems such as Studio9000DVR video acquisition systems are being used in R & D laboratories, and defense agencies for complex and advanced imaging applications.
