Gainesville, FL September 16, 2008 -- The Perth Leadership Institute (business acumen assessment and development programs, today announced that it had re-issued its White Paper on the current economic downturn and its impact on leadership development practices and programs due to its popularity and due its even-further increased relevance to the current economic environment. The White Paper argues that while recessions typically see a pullback in leadership development programs, there are good reasons for this to be different this time as long as HR and leadership development professionals take the initiative.

The approach in the White Paper is based on the book by Dr. E. Ted Prince, Founder and CEO of the Institute, entitled The Three Financial Styles of Very Successful Leaders, published by McGraw-Hill in 2005.

According to Dr. Prince, “Our White Paper predicted that the current economic slowdown and possible recession would lead to a reduction in leadership development programs and spending since companies would have lower confidence that these programs would provide short-term solutions to critical financial issues.
