One of the major agricultural companies in Siberia Russian Agricultural Division implements modern technologies for business processes optimization. Now the fundamental task of the company consists in cutting costs for soil cultivation and grain growing. For this purpose the company equips its agricultural machinery with GPS devices, which will allow to reduce operation time and cut down fuel and seeds expenses. The first part of the program included equipping the company`s transport vehicles with GPS navigators. These devices help to calculate the route that will lead to fuel conservation and effective logistics management. Such cost cutting strategy will allow to reduce the production cost. Applying modern devices to tractors and sowing complexes offers the possibility for operators to control seeds and fuel consumption and to calculate labor time precisely. Saving time for sowing and harvesting activities is of great importance for the Altay region. Besides, controlling seeds and fuel consumption cut costs for the company`s primary activities. RAD`s management state that GPS navigators will be used for harvesters this season. When summarizing year`s results, the company will analyze how total costs can be reduced due to implementation of modern devices.
