Rapidfix develops EZ head - a new concave surface head design that significantly reduces screw driver insertion failure compared with regular screw heads.
The new and innovative EZ head was developed to reduce the irritating slip-offs where the driver slips off the head surface, requiring re-alignment and re-insertion.
A special engineered concave surface helps guiding a screw driver or bit directly towards the screw recess even if the driver is inserted off-centre.
Initial testing where driver insertion failure was compared with regular flat head screws, revealed that using the EZ head resulted in up to 50% less cases of failure or slip-offs from the head surface.
The new design allows for exceptionally quick and easy insertion of screw drivers from difficult angles or under difficult handling conditions. Ultimately, the EZ head requires less fiddling to align the driver with the recess, less complications, less energy and less time spent on repetitive fixing jobs.
The new head can be fitted with countersunk head fasteners of all international standards as well as non-standard designs.
