These exciting products include a French Door Refrigerator with 7 LCD Touch Screen and a Front Load Washer, with a Steam Dryer and the quietest wash at top spin speeds available. The French Door Refrigerator is a CES Innovations 2009 Design and Engineering Award honoree, and the Front Load Washer is a recipient of the CES Innovations 2009 Eco-design Award.
Locally, Australian consumers are already benefiting from features including the ultra thin insulation technology of the French Door Refrigerator, available as part of the recently launched Samsung SPACE fridge. French Door Refrigerator Exhibited at CES, the new French Door Refrigerator includes a convenient 7 LCD touch screen above the ice and water dispenser and delivers the industrys largest internal storage at around 800 litres in a standard footprint.
Understanding that the kitchen is the true heart of the home, Samsung developed the LCD touch screen to give consumers easy access to calendars, schedules, showcase photos, nutrition facts, and unit conversions, allowing the refrigerator to act as an interactive, digital lifestyle centerpiece.
The French Door Refrigerators larger interior capacity is made possible by a new small cell insulation technology, which reduces the refrigerator walls from 5.18cm to 3.50cm. This results in an extra 14 per cent storage space. Available in Australia through the SPACE SRS702GDHSS fridge, this feature provides enough capacity inside to store a large familys weekly shop. It is small enough outside to fit into a standard sized space ensuring that the fridge will update any kitchen without the need to renovate.
Along with its breakthrough technical advancements, the new French Door Refrigerator features smart engineering elements that combine to create an ideal refrigerator solution. For example, the fridges bright interior LED lighting and Samsungs EZ-Open Handle allows easy opening of freezer doors, eliminating the need to strain. The attractive-styled exterior door handles, hidden hinges and stainless steel finish will also add a touch of hi-end taste to any kitchen.
Front-Load Washer
Not to be outdone by its home appliance siblings, the Samsung front-load washer line has offered a washing machine similar to Australias own 10kg Front Load Washer Dryer (WD8122CVW). Utilising Samsungs VRT technology, the new front-load washer significantly reduces the noise and vibration commonly associated with other front-load washers, making it the quietest washer at top spin speeds currently available in the Samsung range . This enables the machine to be set up and used in more convenient, easily-accessible locations, or in compact living areas without causing disruption.
The new Samsung line also offers AirWash, a steam cycle available during washing as well as the option to add steam to conventional cycles, plus select Steam Refresh and Odour Removal in the dryer. Gentler fabric care abilities are also made possible by Diamond Drum, a diamond-shaped washing surface with smaller drain holes, helping to prolong the life of delicate and fragile clothing by reducing fabric snags. The new line also features a 1300 RPM maximum spin speed and Samsungs Silver Nano cycle option, an uncompromising solution for washing delicates and colours. The Silver Nano feature also saves 92 per cent on energy when compared to hot water sanitisation, meaning less of an environmental impact.
