The joint solution will provide device manufacturers a complete, pre-integrated and fully-validated mobile TV solution, capable of satisfying current and future content protection schemes and supporting the upcoming launch of services.

Tata Elxsi Mobile TV middleware has undergone extensive field trials in multiple European cities and is fully tested for interoperability based on the OMA-BCAST specification. The middleware is integrated with various multimedia engines, media decoders, applications and is operating system agnostic; seamlessly running on Linux, Windows Mobile and Windows XP. The software development kit (SDK) provides abstraction for underlying technologies such as CBMS (IPDC) and OMA-BCAST.

With the integration of Discretix' Multi-Scheme mobile TV security client, Tata Elxsi ensures complete, standard-based service and content protection according to the OMA BCAST Smart Card and DRM profiles, and the DVB-H 18Crypt profile.
