Dave Katragadda was born in a village Chiluvuru in Duggirala mandal of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh located in India.
He obtained his Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Andhra University and then his Masters degree from California.
Dave Katragadda is a spiritual person and promotes many activities to spread spirituality. He is a member of Self-realization fellowship founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda. He likes devotional songs very much. His favorite songs include Venkateshwara Suprabhatam and Bhagvad Gita.
Dave Katragadda along with his brother Krishna Prasad Katragadda is doing outstanding service to Telugu Community both in USA and India.
He is involved in many philanthropic and social service activities.
His major achievement includes inviting Bill Clinton to TANA Conference, 2007 in Washington in an effort to motivate the Telugu youth to get involved into mainstream politics. He has a dream about a person of Telugu origin becoming the President of United States and his making sincere efforts to make his dream come true.
IT foray into villages: He made a great effort in making government of Andhra Pradesh head by Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to launch Rajiv Internet Village program from his village Chiluvuru in Duggirala mandal of Guntur district.
He has a strong love and affection towards his village. He feels that people should love their motherland and village and they should make whatever little effort they can to contribute for the growth of it.
At present, Dave Katragadda and his brother Krishna Prasad Katragadda are the persons who are offering their services to their village. They have organized a Trust named "Katragadda Charities" and have spent few lakhs of rupees for laying cement roads and also started free medical facility to the villagers. Because of this reason they are living in the hearts of nearly 7000 people of his village.
